White Men With Guns

I say we install a clean and rational government and kill anyone who gets in our way.

Delarey -

Bok van Blerk lyrics (my translation)

On a mountain at night -
We lie in the darkness and wait
In the mud and the blood I lie cold,
Backpack and rain cling to me ...

And my house and my farm burnt to hot coals, so that they could catch us -

But those flames and that fire now burn deep, deep within me.

De La Rey, De La Rey will you come lead the Boere today?
(De La Rey, De La Rey)
General, General, as one man, in around you we'll fall.
(General, De La Rey.)

Oh The Khakis that laugh -
A handful of us 'gainst a whole giant power
And the cliffs 'gainst our backs
They think its all over (for us)

But the heart of a Boer lies deeper and wider, they'll yet see
On a horse he comes on
- the lion of the West Transvaal.

De La Rey, De La Rey will you come lead the Boere today?
(De La Rey, De La Rey)
General, General, as one man, in around you we'll fall.
(General, De La Rey.)

'Cause my wife and my child lie in a camp slowly dying
And the Khakis wreak wroth on a nation that again shall arise.

De La Rey, De La Rey will you come take the Boere today?
(De La Rey, De La Rey)
General, General, as one man, in around you we'll fall.
(General, De La Rey.)

(Generaal, De La Rey. )

(Generaal, De La Rey. )

Want my vrou en my kind lê in 'n kamp en vergaan,
en die Kakies se murg loop oor 'n nasie wat weer op sal staan.

De La Rey, De La Rey sal jy die Boere kom lei?
(De La Rey, De La Rey)
Generaal, generaal soos een man, sal ons om jou val.
(Generaal De La Rey.)

INSANE, THOMMY, INsANE!

Later

Expear!

But so it is so so it must be so.

The ultimate delusion
Is the search for simple union
of the thing that's sweet
and the thing that's meet
and the thing that necessarily and unilaterally must of course
Be done.

Doom, gloom, and destruction
The ultimate aloneness of all Man
The will to stand alone and testify.

They will to dare the one who will be one
Is come.

The mechanism of confusion
In the quest for ultimate union
Is the plausible expectation
Of the intederminable equation
and the honourable understanding
Of the reasonable toleration
Of the mock-orientation
And the ongoing limp evasion of
The thing that is and the thing that is to be ..

Is done.

Is come.

(but not so nevertheless but yes
just too too sorrowful parting gift ...
Though the following standard hap (o yes) infer ..

HOYD!

Gulled, lulled and made vulnernable
By a few preliminary stabs
the hapless, hopeless victim prone
Lies waiting.

Shelob lombs from Zoltran's tombs
The thick and deep enveloping glooms
The serried ranks of warriors stand staight and righteous
Ready!
Yes.
Of Course.

And all the world is waiting.

History stirs, the tide demurs
The crashing-gate of heaven's doors
The bell is rung
The charm is hung
The far and misty distant seas await.
The imminent hum ; Tsunami comes!
The moments hang like trickly treacle drops ...
Of course.

Just but not so there quite not yet there just yet so not quite there yeh... huh .. but . no no no yeh

ETC> ETC ETC>

Unfolding.

Evolving.

A thickening in the air; a sense of coming thunder ..

WAIT!

Like Rome in the year
Five hundred and four
When the crashing Huns were at the door
And the buzzards circling o'er the moor
And the banshee wailed in shadow-shriek of Fall -

DESPONDENT!

Yes.

And all the world is waiting.

The Gaian Paradigm

THE GAIAN PARADIGM

1. Man is an ANIMAL; a product of Mother Nature; and his economic interactions are as "natural" and as subject to natural laws as the interactions in a forest food-chain. These "natural laws" are those governing COMPLEX SYSTEMS - non-linear; ill-understood at present; and only crudely simulated by the inadequate linear approximations of economics. This is why economics (and sociology, and psychology) is a "soft" science not amenable to exact, linear examination and prediction. The "invisible hand" is indeed invisible.

2. The many individuals constituting an ECONOSPHERE together make up the Gaian SUPER-ORGANISM, analagous to Hayek's "extended order"; a natural, organic SUPER-ENTITY, much as the collection of specialized, differentiated cells in the human body make up the SUPER-ORGANISM that is the individual human. Just as brain-cells, bone-cells, muscle-cells, blood-cells etc "co-operate" to deal with the environment (make a living) more efficiently than if they were seperate entities, so do the individual bakers, traders, craftsmen, doctors, scientists, clerks, bankers etc "co-operate" to make up a SUPER-ENTITY that provides them with a better living that could be had were they forced to be generalists on their own.

3. SPECIALIZATION and TRADE in the econosphere is organic, "natural" and subject to the (at present) unknown and unknowable laws of Mother Nature; the laws of COMPLEX SYSTEMS.

4. PRICES reflect huge amounts of information (on scarcity, transport costs etc. etc. etc.) and this information is invariably dispersed and unavailable to any single controlling entity. This is why attempts at control of prices does not and cannot work. ANY INTERFERENCE EG -STATE REGULATION/CONTROLWILL NOT AND CANNOT WORK! Attempts at ANY kind of control of economic activity is counterproductive.

Suppose a new science of Complexity could show that the human economy was actually an entirely natural organic phenomenon of Mother Nature - an inevitable SUPER-ORGANISM obedient to Complex laws ubiquitous throughout the universe.

"An economy interracts within itself like a giant brain, with as many neurons as there are people, as many interactions as there are things that they buy and services they sell. People who will never meet affect each other through a dense network of dispersed information processed interactively; every cause an effect, and every effect a cause. The entire entity is an organic, information- processing organism, vastly too convoluted for any puny human (or politburo thereof) to comprehend, let alone control. If one thinks of the economy as a plant, growth conditions are most favourable when the individual cells are given maximum freedom to develop, within the constraints of a rigid Rule of Law. The law provides the framework on which an economy grows; and freedom the fertilizer. To meddle with these growth conditions is directly to institute sub-optimal growth."
